Data Collection and Use

CIPHERNET-X is a network analysis and security scanning tool. This privacy policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Information Collected

Network Information (processed locally on device)

WiFi network names (SSIDs), MAC addresses (BSSIDs), signal strengths (RSSI), channel information, security types, and capabilities
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device advertisements
GPS location data (used to map WiFi AP positions on the world map)
IP addresses, latency measurements, and DNS server information during network tests

This data is processed locally on your device using on-device storage.

Advertising ID (Google AdMob)

This app uses Google AdMob for advertising. AdMob may collect device advertising ID and usage data. Data collection is subject to Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy

European users will be shown a GDPR consent dialog via Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP).

Crash Reporting

The app may collect crash logs and performance data.

Data Sharing

No personal data is sold to third parties
Network scan data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to any server
Advertising data is handled by Google AdMob in accordance with their privacy policy
Location data is used only within the app and is not shared

Data Retention

Network scan history is stored locally on your device. You can delete all stored data through the app's Settings or by clearing app data.

ACCESS_WIFI_STATE	Read available WiFi networks
CHANGE_WIFI_STATE	Connect to networks for testing
BLUETOOTH_SCAN	Discover BLE devices
BLUETOOTH_CONNECT	Connect to BLE devices
POST_NOTIFICATIONS	Show background scanning service notification
FOREGROUND_SERVICE	Run WiFi/BLE scanning in background

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
